PROBLEMTo begin monetizing on Facebook, creators had to sign up from within Creator Studio, a desktop-only experience. To better match the expectations of creators, the ultimate mobile users, we needed to build an onboarding experience within Professional Dashboard, an experience available to creators within the Facebook app.
While designing the mobile onboarding experience, I uncovered a key challenge: the product descriptions for the various creator monetization programs (Stars, Subscriptions, Ads on Reels, etc.) were each owned by a different team and lacked consistency.

While the product descriptions have been optimized several times since launch, the underlying template I designed is still in place.
Due to the system I created, headlines and descriptions are able to be reused in other screens, reducing the need to update several content instances when the program changes.
The playbook has been continually updated and used by content designers working on creator monetization and its structure has served as a model for several other teams.
